Accessibility statement.

This statement applies to urbanwheelzcargo.com, operated by WeMobile Urban Wheelz Cargo B.V. (trading as Urban Wheelz). Full company details are in our Legal notice.

Urban Wheelz wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion.

How accessible this site is

We are working to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Based on our own testing this site is believed to meet that standard, but it has not yet been independently audited, so we describe it as partially conformant until it has.

What we have done

  • Keyboard: every interactive element — nav links, language switcher, carousel tabs, form fields, submit button, cookie banner — is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline that meets the contrast requirement.
  • Skip link: a "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches, so the nav can be bypassed.
  • Structure: one <h1> per page, headings in order, and real landmark elements (header, nav, main, footer) rather than unlabelled divs.
  • Images: every photograph carries a description written for the purpose, not a filename. The captions on the carousel are separate from those descriptions, because a caption and an alt text are not the same thing.
  • Motion: the hero pan, the carousel crossfade and the eased smooth-scroll all respect prefers-reduced-motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, animation is effectively switched off and scrolling jumps directly.
  • Forms: every field has a real <label>, errors are announced in text next to the field they belong to, and the form works without JavaScript.
  • Colour: the palette is a fixed dark theme; body and heading text were chosen to clear the AA contrast ratio against the ink background.
  • Language: each page declares its language, and the EN/NL alternates are marked up so assistive technology announces the switch correctly.

Known limitations

  • The carousel advances on a timer. It pauses on hover and stops responding to the timer once you interact with the tabs, and no information exists only inside it — the same content is in the text beside it. It does not currently offer an explicit pause button, which WCAG 2.2 SC 2.2.2 would prefer for moving content. This is on the list to fix.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form. It is designed to be non-interactive for most visitors, but if it does present a challenge, that challenge is Cloudflare's and not under our control. If it blocks you, email us directly and we will answer that way.
  • No independent audit yet. See above.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) (acm.nl). Since 28 June 2025 the ACM has supervised the accessibility of e-commerce and electronic communication services in the Netherlands under the European Accessibility Act, as implemented by the Implementatiewet toegankelijkheidsvoorschriften producten en diensten.
