A cookie is a small file stored on your device. This site also uses browser storage (local storage), which works similarly but is never sent to the server. We use a minimal set of both, and we place nothing non-essential until you accept it via our cookie banner.
This page is deliberately specific. "We use cookies to improve your experience" tells you nothing; below is the actual list.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Strictly necessary items are always active because the site cannot function without them. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Analytics runs through Google Consent Mode v2: until you consent, no analytics cookies are set. On this site Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all before you choose, so no request reaches Google either.

Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage under
uw-consent, not in a cookie. It stays on your device and is not sent to us
with any request.
Essential storage does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive, because without it the things you asked for — submitting the form, having your choice remembered — do not work.

Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies; it is loaded only after you accept, and it then loads Google Analytics. If you decline, no Google script is fetched, no request is made to Google, and no analytics cookie is set. If you later change your mind, Consent Mode v2 passes the updated signal on correctly.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media trackers, or session recording.
Fonts
The two typefaces on this site are served from our own server. Nothing is requested from Google Fonts, so no data about your visit reaches Google that way — including your IP address.
Managing cookies
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to withdraw or change consent. You can also block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings; clearing this site's data removes the stored choice, and you will be asked again on your next visit.
